Design (Thesis) Topic: On Contractor's Risks and Prevention Strategies in Construction Projects
Contractor's risk refers to the possibility that the normal construction process and the established profit target of the contractor will be affected due to various uncertain factors before or during the implementation of the construction project, and even the possibility of adverse results.
This paper mainly discusses various risks that contractors may encounter during the bidding and implementation of construction projects, and according to the principle of risk control and the author's practical experience in project management, puts forward strategies for contractors to prevent various risks.
I. Literature Review
Contractor's risk refers to the possibility that the normal construction process and the established profit target of the contractor will be affected due to various uncertain factors before or during the implementation of the construction project, and even the possibility of adverse results. Once adverse effects or adverse results occur, losses will be caused to the Contractor.
In the 1970s, scholars in western countries began to study the risk liability of owners and contractors in contracts.
In our country, the research and application of engineering risk management are carried out relatively late.
Tian Jiefang (2003) used the theory and method of risk management to analyze the contractor's risks, including the contractor's risk identification, risk measurement and risk evaluation, and put forward the contractor's risk prevention and treatment measures.
Ren Zhitao and Zhang Shiying (2004) analyzed the rent-seeking problem between owners and contractors in the construction market. They studied the static and dynamic games between owners and contractors and contractors, and gave measures to prevent owners and contractors from seeking rent.
Judging from the current research situation at home and abroad, although some explorations have been made on the research on the behavioral risks of the main body of the engineering project, compared with the traditional research on the risks of the engineering project, it is still in the initial stage and there are still many deficiencies.
Contractor's risk management plays an increasingly important role in project management, and behavior problems have become the focus of contractor's project management research. Project contractors should start from the perspective of communication management, effectively deal with the relationship between the inside and outside of the project, take targeted and effective measures to reduce the risk of subject behavior, realize the "win-win" or "win-win" of the contracted project, and continuously improve the profitability of the project. By strengthening the control of their own behavioral risks, the core competitiveness of enterprises will be improved.

Based on the research background and significance, The purpose of this paper is to explore the risk of project contractors on the basis of reviewing relevant theories, to put forward the risk control measures of project contractors, to realize the optimization goal of project contractors' risk management, and to promote the improvement of project management by strengthening the risk management of their own main behaviors.

With the increasingly fierce competition in the engineering construction market, the uncertain factors involved by the engineering project contractors will increase day by day, and the risks they face will become more and more complex. 1. Analyze the risks that contractors may encounter from inside and outside, find out the rules of risks of project contractors, and thus develop effective risk response technologies, which is conducive to reducing the risks of project contractors in the construction phase.
2. Facing the risks in the project, the general contractor of the project will do everything possible to avoid risks, avoid losses or minimize inevitable losses in order to obtain as much income as possible. Therefore, it is of great value to do a good job in risk analysis for a project. Therefore, it is of great significance to analyze and control the risk problems in the construction process of an engineering project.
3. The main behavior of the contractor will have a great impact on the implementation of the project, and the main behavior of the contractor has become the main factor of the failure of the project contract.
